Being 100% New Zealand Wool makes it a naturally resilient material. There are many natural benefits such as it is sustainable, renewable, and biodegradable. This wool is non-allergenic and does not promote the growth of bacteria, mold, or mildew. Wool acts as a natural filter, trapping allergens within carpets, rugs and bedding products. Properly maintained wool products can have positive health benefits as well. Wool can help the body regulate temperature by insulating from the cold and dissipating heat, which makes it perfect for a good night’s sleep. Wool also has the natural ability to absorb harmful chemicals such as volatile organic compounds (VOC) that are strong smelling colorless gases from the indoor atmosphere. High VOC levels are generally caused by materials such as paint, glue, cabinetry, vinyl, hard flooring, varnish, car exhausts, etc. Which also means that the wools natural warmth and softness are great for babies and pets!
